It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

We're talking about the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are the only things left for a team that has accomplished all there is.

It needed as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It's difficult for their batters to hold a record if not afforded the possibility.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the final and was named player of the tournament. She made sure her country would not fail again.

If this newest brilliant performance surpassed that earlier display remains open for discussion.

Certain people claim the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's clear is this century was much more difficult to see coming.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 came as she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it's been a challenging time because it appeared I've had no rhythm whatsoever," said Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your competitive nature take over and you simply focus on the contest."

Healy's competitiveness has always been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in replacing famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in every game, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's motivation.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and from that point the batsman was on her way.

"An opportunity to take the field and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun that way, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was removed the team needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the belief to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, if necessary, we are confident we can achieve it."

These statements will be the last rival teams at this tournament want to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will win from any position has grown stronger - this victory coming after win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at an important competition.

So great is her will, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated despite the injury.

But while she later admitted those physical issues have postponed plans to retire, this championship is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as captain.
